What is death? How do we view it

17 سبتمبر 2009

Muslims believe that the present life is a trial in preparation for the next realm of existence. When a Muslim dies, he or she is washed and wrapped in a clean, white cloth (usually by a family member) and buried after a special prayer, preferably the same day. Muslims consider this a final service that they can do for their relatives and an opportunity to remember that their own existence here on earth is brief.

Quote of the week ‘4

24 يوليو 2009

We would consider it a shame to forget a dear fried whom we love and long to meet again. We would feel it a shame to forget someone who has been kind to us and stood by our sides throughout our hardships and our sorrows and gave us the support that we needed when we were too weak to cope on our own.

Allah is greater than all of that. He is closer to you than your jugular vein. It is unfitting for someone who believes in Allah to forget Him for even a moment.

Quote of the week ‘ 3

11 يوليو 2009

In proportion to the level of your faith- strong or weak, firm or wavering - will you be happy and at peace.

{Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a true believer; verily, to him We will give a good life [in this world with respect, contentment, and lawful provision]. And We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do [i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter].} Quran 16:97

The ‘good life’ that is mentioned in this verse refers to having a firm in the promise of our Lord and steady heart that loves Him. People who lead this ‘good life’ will also have calm nerves when afflicted with hardship; they will be satisfied with everything that befalls them, because it was written for them, and because they are pleased with Allah as their Lord, with Islam as their Religion, and with Muhammad as their Prophet and Messenger.

Quote of the Week ‘ 2

1 يوليو 2009

All people, children and adults – and no matter how healthy, prosperous, or successful they might be – need a few moments away from other people, to commune with their Lord, to feel that Allah sees them, hears them, and will answer them. This is true at times of hardship and times of ease, not only when faced with failure, but even when enjoying the greatest success.

Quote of the Week

23 يونيو 2009

God has created people in such a way that if they live by the foundation of Islam, they can be happy, peacful, and mentally and physically healthy individuals. Those who search for other ways to acheive this will never be able to find them, even if they search for thousands and millions of years. The only way for an individual to be at ease in this world and the next is to abide by the Quran God has send down. As God declares in the following verse, the Quran is the only true book that lifts people up from darkness into light:

Alif, Lam, Ra. This is a Book We have send down to you so that you can bring mankind from darkness to the light, by the permission of their Lord, to the Path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy. (Quran,14:1)

Those who follow the light of God’s Book and submit to its guiding rule will always be blessed with ease and lead a wonderful life in this world and in the Hereafter, by will of God.
